Film Grain
Color and B+W grain measured from real film scans, in Noritsu and Frontier versions.
Halation + Bloom
Red-orange light spills from bright highlights onto the darker areas beside them. Black-and-white photos get a soft bloom instead.
Film Blur
Softens the photo under the grain. Bigger grain softens it more, the way film holds no detail finer than its grain.
Film Frames
35mm, 120, and 4x5 frames from Kodak, Fujifilm, Ilford, and CineStill, with an overscan or thin border and sprocket holes in white, black, or transparent.

Halation

Bright lights spill a red-orange glow into the dark areas around them, the way light bounces back through color film. The glow only shows where it’s brighter than the photo, so lights keep their own color. Black-and-white photos get a soft bloom instead.

Film Grain

Each film stock’s own grain, measured from real scans of that film on a Noritsu and a Frontier. Choose the stock and 35mm or 120, and Intensity fades the grain in and out. Grain also softens the photo under it, the way film holds no detail finer than its grain.

Noritsu + Frontier Grain

Grain comes in two versions, measured from film scanned on a Noritsu and on a Fujifilm Frontier. Each one keeps its scanner’s grain size, sharpness, and color, and you set the amount, size, and roughness.
